Dear Prospective Member:

 Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding membership at Bellevue Golf Club.  The following is a brief outline of the types of membership and fees at Bellevue:

                                                                 ENTRANCE FEES

Each single or family membership requires a one time Club Entrance Fee:

Under 23 yrs. old                   $ 750.00

Under 30 yrs. old                   $1500.00

30 yrs. and over                     $2000.00

Members applying for golf are placed on the Golf Wait List upon payment of the Golf Entrance Fee.  There is approximately a two to three year wait for either Full or Limited golf playing  privileges based on our current wait list of approximately thirty members.

The Golf Entrance Fee for each individual seeking golf privileges is as follows:

Young Adult                            $1500.00 

*Limited Golf                          $4000.00

*Full Golf                                 $5000.00

Club entrance fees are non-refundable once your membership has been approved.  The golf entrance fee would be refunded if you resigned your membership before making the actual golf list.

*Limited Golf - cannot play Sat., Sun. and holidays prior to 12:30 p.m.

and only eligible to play in tournaments open to limited golfers.

*Full Golf - can play any time and in all tournaments (other than those specifically

                        designated for the opposite sex).

Golf Waiting List Members may play twice a month (18 or 9 holes) after 2:00 P.M. on weekends, and/or during designated open play times on weekdays.  The applicable fee will be charged.   Golf waiting list members may bring one guest per month.  Note:  Playing times are subject to course availability and/or the Golf Professional's discretion.

As a house member you are entitled to use each one of the facilities (golf, pool and tennis) once a month by paying the appropriate guest fees.

OWNERSHIP SHARES

This is a member owned club, therefore, each membership must own the following number of shares in the Club at $200.00 per share:

Club Membership Only                                 7 shares                     $1400.00

Full Golf Members                                      19 shares                     $3800.00

Limited Golf                                                14 shares                     $2800.00

Pool & Tennis                                             11 shares                      $2200.00

Members Under 30                                       7 shares                     $1400.00

Ownership shares are billed on your first monthly statement.

Ownership shares are your equity in the Club and are redeemable at face value upon your resignation from the Club and return of ownership shares to the Office.

 ANNUAL DUES

All members are required to pay annual House dues as stated below.  In addition members may elect additional privileges, golf, pool or tennis by paying the appropriate dues. All Club and Golf dues are billed in six (6) monthly payments beginning 11/1 and ending 4/1.  Pool and tennis dues are billed in three (3) monthly payments beginning 3/1 and ending 5/1.  Assessments will be charged accordingly as per Board of Governor’s rulings and in accordance with Club By Laws.

 ANNUAL HOUSE DUES:     $1150.00

Under 30/Over 70:                $ 575.00

 ANNUAL GOLF DUES:      

Junior (18-23 yrs.):                $ 650.00

Young Adult:                       $1225.00

Limited Golf:                          $1390.00

Full Golf                                  $1890.00

NOTE:  An unmarried child having reached the age of 14, but not the age of 23, who resides in the same household as a member, shall be entitled to golf privileges upon    payment of additional dues of $300.00.  Maximum additional dues for two or more children of a member is $600.00.

ANNUAL POOL DUES:

Family                                     $ 635.00

Single                                     $ 445.00

ANNUAL TENNIS DUES: 

Family                                     $ 300.00

Individual                                $ 155.00

 MINIMUM DINING

Members are required to spend $70.00 per family (35.00 for a single person) per month in the Dining Room from April through November each year. 

DEBT REDUCTION

There is an annual debt reduction assessment of $144.00-$282.00 (based upon classification) billed in six monthly installments beginning May 1 of each year.  Assessments will be charged accordingly as per Board of Governor’s rulings and in accordance with Club By Laws.

APPLICATION PROCESS

 After the application has been signed by both sponsors it should be submitted to the Bellevue Golf Club Office, P. O. Box 760661, Melrose, MA 02176.  The appropriate Club entrance fee, and golf entrance fee(s) if applicable, are required with the application.

 Once the application is received by the Membership Committee it is posted in the Club House for a 15 day period.  During the time the application is posted the Membership Committee will arrange to meet with you.
