Jeffrey Monteleone
PGA Professional

Jeff joins Bellevue in 2012 as our head golf professional.  Jeff has more than 15 years of experience in the golf industry and with some of the finest private clubs on the East Coast. Most recently, Jeff was Director of Golf at Renaissance Golf Club in Haverhill, Massachusetts and Head Golf Professional at Wentworth By The Sea Country Club in Rye, New Hampshire.

An authority in golf and club operations, Jeff brings the club a strong focus on high-level customer service, organizing first-class events and superior merchandising. He also understands that developing and growing a family friendly club atmosphere is very important in today’s club environment. Jeff possesses a passion for golf instruction and believes in growing golf participation by organizing a hands-on junior program, providing ample clinic opportunities for all levels, and demonstrating a successful private coaching system.

Scott Huff
Club Manager

Scott joins Bellevue for the 2012 season as our Club Manager. Educated at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA, Scott holds a B.S. in Business Management. Scott has worked in the golf club industry for the past twelve years, with ten years spent with the American Golf Corp in the New Jersey & New York area. Most recently, Scott was the General Manager of Silver Lake Golf Course in Staten Island, NY.

Scott brings a passion for excellent member & guest satisfaction.   He takes a strong, hands on approach to running member events and services and strives to ensure even the smallest details are executed. Scott has a broad knowledge of overall club management and will use these skills in unifying all club activities.

Bostjan Kolaric
USPTA Professional

We are pleased to welcome Bostjan Kolaric as our new Tennis Director and Head tennis professional. Bostjan is originally from Slovenia and graduated from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH with a BA in Psychology. At Saint Anselm’s Bostjan captained both Men’s tennis team and Men’s Ice hockey team. Bostjan was number 1 Singles and number 1 Doubles player throughout his college career. He was voted to the ECAC All-Conference Team for 4 years. A gifted all-around athlete, Bostjan was awarded the Rookie of the Year in Ice Hockey in 2005 and was voted MVP of the Pal Cup in 2006.

After College Bostjan served as the Men’s Varsity Tennis Coach at Dexter and Southfield Schools in Brookline, MA. At Dexter he was responsible for recruiting and developing training programs for top ranked singles and doubles players resulting in the team winning the 2011 NEPSAC Championship.

During the fall and winter months Bostjan serves as a full time Tennis Professional at The Country Club in Brookline, MA and at Kingsbury Tennis Club and Spa in Kingston, MA.

Tim Cote
Assistant PGA Professional

Tim is joining Bellevue Golf Club this season as the First Assistant Professional.  Tim has been involved with the golf industry since the age of 9 when he continually hassled the local Golf Professional for a position shagging golf balls at the local club.  He played four years of college golf, both Division I for Radford University in Virginia and Division II for Lynn University in Boca Raton. At Lynn University, he graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Originally from Methuen, Massachusetts, Tim lived in South Florida until 2010.  There he pursued a playing golf career while also completing his undergrad degree. After college, Tim made the decision to follow his passion for golf and enrolled into the PGA of America apprentice program.  Most recently Tim has work at Renaissance Golf Club in Haverhill, Massachusetts.  At Renaissance Tim was directly involved with formulating and managing the women’s and junior golf programs.  These programs included both league play and developmental programming.

When Tim is not at the golf course, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, competing in golf tournaments at the highest level possible and listening to live music.

Brendan Kent
Pool Director

Brendan Kent will begin his first year with Bellevue as the Club’s Pool Director. Brendan is in his 6th year as a Physical Education teacher at Melrose Middle School. Brendan is also an assistant coach for the Melrose High School Football, Boys Basketball, and Boys Lacrosse teams. He also coaches a number of youth sports teams as well. Brendan brings valuable pool experience, having worked many summers for the State DCR pools. Brendan was a successful multi-sport, Advanced Placement student-athlete at Melrose High before attending Saint Anselm College on academic scholarship. He received his Masters of Education from Salem State University, and is currently enrolled in the Commonwealth Leadership Academy, where he is working towards his license as a school Athletic Director and Principal.

Barrett Lawlor
Swim Team & Lessons Coordinator

Barrett brings extensive experience to the Bellevue Bullfrogs having been a competitive swimmer since the age of five. She holds the top ten time for the 100 yard breaststroke at Chelmsford High School where she was part of the state team.   She has also served as a certified Water Safety Instructor and has taught lessons from novice to pre-competitive. She is currently employed as a Guest Services Teammate with Virgin America. Barrett is assisted by a highly qualified team of coaches that all are former High School swimmers.

Brian F. Skinner, CGCS
Superintendent

Brian Skinner, a native of Melrose, has been a committed employee of Bellevue Golf Club for over 20 years. His past experience includes an internship with the PGA at The Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass in preparation for the Tournament Players Championship in 1993. Brian was also the clubhouse resident for 14 years, keeping a watchful eye on the property year-round and assuming many responsibilities, including bartending and snow plowing. Brian is very passionate about his role at Bellevue and was recently recertified as a Certified Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS). His commitment to professionalism and his love of turf grass management have been an asset to the club. Brian was instrumental in the construction of a new maintenance facility and irrigation system.

Brian’s formal education, commitment to continuing education, and years of experience position him to have a strong positive impact on course conditions. His Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Saint Michael’s College in Vermont in conjunction with his advanced knowledge of turf grass management provide him with the ability to handle the unique challenges and job requirements of golf facility management with the goal of ensuring an exceptional member experience at Bellevue Golf Club.

Peter Cronin
Assistant Superintendent

Peter Cronin is entering his first year as the clubs’ Assistant Superintendent and is returning for a second time to Bellevue Golf Club as he was previously an employee on the grounds during the 2008 golf season. Born and raised in Melrose, Peter began his Turfgrass career in Southport, N.C. at St. James Plantation; The Founders Club during the fall of 2007. The following summer he accepted a position on the Bellevue staff and committed to a career in professional Turfgrass Management. He then completed the rigorous Turfgrass Certificate program at University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2009 and was employed by  The Country Club in Brookline, Ma. the following spring.  Additionally, Peter resided on property at The Country Club which has provided a full understanding of golf course management both in-season and off-season.  His experience also includes the Assistant Superintendent position at Fresh Pond Golf Course in Cambridge, Ma. in 2011, volunteer work for the PGA Duetsche Bank Championship at the TPC Boston as well as participation in preparing for many of The Country Clubs’ elite events. His current job responsibilities here at Bellevue Golf Club are but not limited to staff oversight, course set-up, projects and implementation of the clubs’ agronomic program. When not working on the course, Peter enjoys sports and is an avid golfer.

Peter Metcalfe
Chef

An executive chef for more than 20 years, Peter Metcalfe was educated at Johnson & Wales in Providence R.I., and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Foods and Food Service Mangement. His previous private club experience includes Nashawtuc Country Club, Woodland Golf Club, and Meadowbrook Golf Club. Peter provides a variety of menus and specials featuring fresh local produce, organic meats, and seafood. His food reflects a wonderful balance of exotic and familiar flavors using the season’s finest offerings. Bellevue Golf Club members have enjoyed Peter’s culinary creations since 2010.
